Join our family at our Booneville (MS) Plant were we are seeking to hire a 2nd Shift Quality Assurance Technician.

The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for verifying materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all required standards. The pay rate is $20.50 per hour (including shift differential). This position will report to the Quality Control Supervisor.

Duties Included:

  • Weight control, QA production line checks, verification of production orders, GMP’s observations, gas flush, microbiological sampling, keeping quality samples, daily production seal integrity checks, new product's evaluation, metal detector checks and calibration, perform environmental swabs and environmental air, SAP, understand and proper documentation of hold products, and Read and understand product specification standards
  • Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF and established safety rules and regulations.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. College Degree is a plus. Prior quality, manufacturing and/or packaging experience is also be a plus.

Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Must be able to read and write English and have legible handwriting.
  • Must have good spoken and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to give and accept constructive criticism and work as a team player.
  • Responsible for maintaining a professional image with customers, peers, supervisors and the public.
  • Good organizational and multi tasking skills.
  • Must have strong problem solving skills and strong attention to details.
  • Qualified applicants will be required to complete assessments and a structured interview.
  • Individual must be a self-starter, easily motivated and require limited or no supervision.
  • Must have great computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must have great laboratory skills.
  • Must be dependable and have a certain degree of flexibility to work overtime, different shifts and Saturdays.

Working Conditions

Work inside a clean climate control manufacturing environment. Required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift 25 pounds frequently and 45 pounds occasionally.

Shift Hours

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. *Saturday hours are generally 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. *Saturday hours are generally 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

3rd Shift: Monday - Friday, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. *Saturday hours are generally 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. or until Sanitation is complete. Please note we have a Monday night start for 3rd Shift.

Saturday hours are usually six hour shifts and are dependent on production and staffing needs.

All work performed in excess of 8 hours in any work day or 40 hours straight time in any work week shall be compensated at the rate of time and one half your straight time rate.
