POSITION SUMMARY:

Overseeing and mentor the IT Technicians. Assist with issues as needed. Research and implements software and hardware for the end user. Plan and execute end user hardware updates.

Essential Functions:

  • Install, maintain, and repair IT equipment, hardware, and attached peripherals (e.g. Thin Clients, Laptops, Laser Printers, Thermal Printers, Data Collection devices, Monitors, Digital Wall Clocks)
  • Perform Windows Desktop operating system (e.g. Win 10) installation, configuration, and upgrades (including locating and installing correct drivers)
  • Perform Thin Client operating system (e.g. IGEL, Windows Embedded, Windows loT) installation, configuration, and upgrades
  • Perform Data Collection equipment (e.g. scan guns, panels) operating system installation, configuration, and upgrades
  • Perform VMware Workstation installation, configuration, and upgrades
  • Create and maintain Symantec AntiVirus client install packages and policies
  • Maintain inventory of necessary supplies required for the normal operation of equipment
  • Maintain records of repairs and fixes for responsible equipment
  • Offer timely technical support to users
  • Train and instruct users how to properly utilize equipment and software
  • Setup equipment maintenance schedules for support staff
  • Limited travel is required: up to 10%

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2+ Years’ experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop OS, Thin Clients, and Data Collection devices
  • Experience with Windows Desktop imaging tools and VMware Workstation preferred
  • Proven experience as a computer technician or similar role
  • Experience with LAN/WAN.WIFI networks
  • Excellent hardware and software troubleshooting methods
  • The ability to work independently as well as working within a team
  • Good knowledge o internet security and data privacy principles
  • Willing to be on call (rotation) and work limited weekends while on call
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Relevant certifications are ideal
  • Ability to work onsite in office 5 days a week in Marathon City, WI
