Raw Materials Supervisor

We are currently conducting a search for a 1st Shift Raw Materials Supervisor for our Mountain Home location. Raw Material Supervisors are responsible for managing raw material inventory to meet production needs. Responsible for supervising and leading 3 shifts of employees in the raw materials area and collaborating with the warehouse staff. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Skills

• Supervising and leading 3 shifts of employees in the raw materials area and collaborating with the warehouse team
• Effectively utilize labor and other resources to maximize efficiency and productivity
• Perform managerial functions including, but not limited to employee scheduling, performance management, disciplinary action, performance reviews, responding to employee questions and concerns, work direction, ensuring safe work practices, etc.
• Responsible for documentation and recordkeeping
• Complete and review department paperwork and reports daily
• Conduct inspections of equipment and procedures
• Review SAP and internal reports to identify material needs and expiration risks
• Monitor cold storage inventories and coordinate transfers with logistic teams
• Order and manage raw materials
• Coordinate and use of trim materials
• Coordinate transfers and orders with logistic team
• Manage sales and purchase of excess trim and specialty cheeses

Requirements

• An Associate Degree in a related field with 5 years of experience or a Bachelor Degree in a related field with 2 years of experience is preferred. Experience in food manufacturing is required.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
• Good conflict management and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy
• Strong organizational skills
• Tactfully maintain confidentiality of information with employees and public
• Knowledge of SAP and ERP
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Must pass a 75 lbs. lift test if not already done so.
• Position is M-F with occasional Saturdays
