POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for financial analysis of the Corporation, including profitability analysis, financial statement narratives, budget preparation and analyses, building forecasts and models, and other finance related duties.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Perform detailed analysis of cost of sales including trending and modeling
  • Prepare schedules of manufacturing absorption variances and analyze drivers
  • Develop 13-week forecasting process for financials and cash flow
  • Support cross-functional data requests
  • Collaborate with other departments to analyze financial data and performance
  • Participate in annual budget process through preparation of account analyses, projections and reporting
  • Review overheads and cost drivers, providing recommendations for enhancements and cost efficiency opportunities
  • Prepare segment and location reporting including cost allocations
  • Utilize systems and tools for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested
  • Construct and present financial and business content to internal groups, including executive management
  • Perform month-end and annual closing activities
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting package including commentary and narratives
  • Assist in cost benefit analysis for capital purchases and supplier evaluation
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Finance is required
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • 4+ years of experience with financial and operational analysis required
  • Solid understanding of accounting systems and procedures
  • Strong computer skills: MS Office Suite, advanced level Excel
  • Professional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and confidential environment
  • Robust analytical skills with the ability to provide actionable data
  • Motivated team player capable of working independently
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with SAP or other major ERP system is a plus
